East meets West... This is the best way I can describe my work. Love of two worlds. Two different subjects one undeniable style.
East.. My husband took me on a trip to Vermont in 2001 and it was love at first sight. Growing up in Arizona I had never seen so much color! I was so taken with the scenery and quaint villages I immediately began to paint them. This was the beginning of my folk art career.
West..I am a native of Arizona and therefore have a great love of the Southwest. My father Edward F. Galda was a very gifted Native American artist and my brother Ed Galda is a very gifted Southwest painter and sculptor living and creating in Tucson, Arizona.
My paintings of the West are greatly influenced by Native American design and colors.
I am a licensed artist with Art Licensing International and you can find my images on many items such as jigsaw puzzles, place mats, coasters, cards and calendars.
My art can be viewed at The Artists Of The Rim gallery in Payson Arizona, Tilting At Windmills Gallery in Manchester, Vermont, and at The Medana Gabbard Gallery in Brandon, Vermont. My website is www.medanagabbardart.comand my email is firstname.lastname@example.org
